Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus vs. Triton PS: Which Premium Dolphin Wins?

Direct Verdict

Currently, there is insufficient public information on the Dolphin Triton PS robotic pool cleaner to provide a direct comparison with the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus. However, the Nautilus CC Plus remains a popular choice for in-ground pool owners seeking a robotic cleaner with smart navigation and app control.

Evidence from Current Sources

The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi model is designed for in-ground pools up to 50 feet. It features dual scrubbing brushes and an independent suction system, supported by a 60-foot tangle-free power cord and a smart navigation system for efficient cleaning. The standard cleaning cycle lasts about two hours, though some pools can be cleaned in as little as 90 minutes. Users can remotely start and schedule cleanings via the My Dolphin app.

Recent versions of the Nautilus CC Plus have notable changes. The warranty has been reduced to one year, and some features present in older models—such as wall and waterline cleaning—may no longer be included. This reduction in features has not been accompanied by a price decrease. Additionally, newer models have cosmetic changes, including replacing blue highlights with black.

There is a contradiction in sources regarding the Nautilus CC Plus's ability to clean pool walls and waterlines. Some reviews confirm this capability, while others indicate it may have been removed in newer versions. Prospective buyers should verify the specific model's features before purchase.

Ownership Tradeoffs

Buyers should note the shorter one-year warranty on newer Nautilus CC Plus models compared to older versions, affecting long-term ownership confidence and repair costs.

Installation is straightforward for in-ground pools up to 50 feet, but users should ensure their pool shape and size are compatible. The 60-foot cord provides ample reach for most residential pools. Maintenance requires regular cleaning of filters and brushes to sustain performance.

Due to the lack of data on the Dolphin Triton PS, potential buyers should seek additional information or reviews before considering it as an alternative.

Decision Checklist

• Confirm whether the Nautilus CC Plus model you are purchasing is an older, feature-rich version or a newer, pared-down model.
• Verify the warranty period and understand the implications of a one-year warranty.
• Check if wall and waterline cleaning features are included in the specific model.
• Consider pool size and shape compatibility with the 60-foot power cord and cleaning capabilities.
• Evaluate the availability of app control and scheduling features.
• Seek user reviews or long-term durability reports if possible.
• For the Dolphin Triton PS, request detailed specifications and user feedback before deciding.

Conclusion

While the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus remains a solid robotic pool cleaner for in-ground pools, buyers must be cautious about model variations. The newer versions have reduced features and a shorter warranty without a price drop. Due to insufficient data on the Dolphin Triton PS, no direct comparison can be made. Prospective buyers should verify model specifics, warranty terms, and feature sets before purchasing.
